DAN & THE FAM
A melodic odyssey of sonic exploration. Dan & The Fam is a psychedelic groove rock band that has gained an explosive following from their unforgettable live performances. Starting out as an idea for an improvisational songwriting project, Danny “Jams” DeMarais (Guitar/Vocals) left his corporate job in 2021 & formed The Fam with Alexander LaFreniere (Drums) & Grady Tollison (Bass) in 2021.
Since their formation, The Fam has released multiple live albums, a studio single, & a music video for their debut song “Music is Freedom” directed by Alex Bond. As all great things grow, the band decided to add Jordan Cooper (Guitar/Vocals) as the official fourth member of the Fam in May of 2023 and can be heard on the band’s latest live release “Live at the Broadberry” released August 2023.
The recent addition of Jordan Cooper has allowed the band to curate a signature sound of twangy swamp rock guitar riffs with hints of knee-buckling space funk. Excited to capture their new sound, the Fam is currently gearing up to record their debut album set to release in 2024.

Danny "Jams" DeMarais
Guitar / Vocals
The Dan of many talents, Danny “Jams” DeMarais serves as The Conductor of Chaos. Danny’s vision for the project started out as an experiment for improvised songwriting. Having left his corporate job in 2021 to pursue music full time, his passion for creativity is the driving force behind the band’s impressive growth & branding.

Grady Tollison
Bass / Vibes
Grady was added to the band thanks to craiglist.com & serves as The Professor of the group. Rounding out this rambunctious crew as the quiet one, he lets the music do all the talking with buttery bass lines & extensive theory knowledge. His bass playing compliments this project in all the right ways, allowing our jams to modulate & blossom. He also doesn’t have an instagram and probably the most sane of us all.

Alexander LaFreniere
Drums / Audio Engineer
Alexander “Zeus” LaFreniere is the rhythmic backbone of the project and serves as The Engineer. Previously working with Dan in Too Indecent ~ Alexander has been a longtime of Dan and it shows in their musical chemistry. His dynamic approach to the drum kit demands attention with thunderous fills & vacuum tight pockets. His unique style is a crucial component to the Fam’s signature improv based fluidity. He is also the group’s audio engineer and is the reason why our soundboards sound so good.

Jordan Cooper
Guitar / Vocals
The addition of Jordan Cooper was the right one. Jordan is titled as The Ambassador. He is a true Trey Phanatic with impressive show stats to boot. His guitar playing was the missing piece to our puzzle, flaunting an expressive range of licks with pleasant accents of southern twang. The addition of Jordan has already sparked new songs that we can’t wait to share.
